About

Welcome to Bible Ballistics!  My name is Blanche,  and I’m a  Bible teacher from Southwest Oklahoma.  I have been teaching Precept Bible studies for over thirty years and love helping people understand the Word of God for themselves.  My wonderful, godly husband, Zane and I had a small farm in Southwest Oklahoma, but moved into an assisted living facility for almost a due to some health issues, but are now back on our own in a lovely apartment and totally enjoy it– especially since I have flowers again.

Zane is originally from Oklahoma, but I am a transplant from South Alabama–Roll Tide!!    We serve in our local church as much as possible, enjoy our family and  friends,  but we do miss the flea markets and antiquing  that we so enjoyed when we were able!

We are blessed to have six children,  four grown grandchildren, and one great grandson.   Some of our children live in Oklahoma near us,  and some live in South Mississippi, so we spend time traveling to see children and grandchildren, as well as our extended family and friends as we are able now.  We lost one daughter years ago to an accident, and most recently, we lost our other daughter to a violent crime in 2019, and have found our God faithful to walk through this valley with us.  Our desire is for others to know that God is faithful in every circumstance!  Evil is all around us yet we know that “God is still God, God is still good, and we still trust HIM“!

Bible Ballistics began as an email letter which I sent out for quite some time,  yet many kept asking us to find a broader format, so we started this blog in response to those requests and God’s clear direction in this venture.  We hope you are encouraged by the posts and we welcome all of your questions and comments, and we’ll answer in as timely a manner as possible.  Our prayer and desire is to touch hearts, encouraging all who are already believers, and pointing each one who visits this site seeking to know God to the Savior, Jesus Christ. May you see HIM in all that we post here!

And just FYI, I hope to have a book available sometime this year, 2024.

We are ever your servants in Christ Jesus.

Zane and Blanche

And if you’re looking for a relationship with Jesus Christ, He is looking for YOU!!  Here are some pointers to help you find Him.

The ABCD’s of Salvation—

A-Agree with God that you are a sinner, that you have broken God’s law.  Ever lie?  Ever steal anything (regardless of value)?  Ever have a lustful thought (look on someone with sexual desire in your heart)?  Ever disrespect your parents?  Ever covet (desire to have something that someone else possesses)?  Breaking God’s law makes me a sinner, it makes us all sinners.  See Romans 3:23 & Romans 6:23 in the Bible.

B-Believe that Jesus’ death on the cross was and is payment for your sin.  That He can and will save you when you bow before His cross and call on Him as your Lord and Savior.  See Acts 10:21.

C-Confess your sin to Jesus, believing His promise to save those who believe in His death, burial and resurrection in payment for their sins.  See 1 Corinthians 15:3-5

D-Develop your spiritual life through,

PRAYER

BIBLE READING AND STUDY

FINDING A BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCH

BEING BAPTIZED AS AN ACT OF OBEDIENCE

REMEMBERING HIS PROVISION FOR YOU

TRUSTING GOD IN ALL THINGS

FOLLOWING HIS WORD & WAYS!!!

If you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior please let us know.  We’d love to pray for you.

    • Thanks Meg. And as for the name “Bible Ballistics”, it’s a reference to the fact that “ballistics” is the “study of the motion of projectiles, as bullets…shells…or bombs” and I hoped it would make a difference for people as we tried to “shoot” straight from The Word of God; knowing that the truth of The Word would help people “quench the fiery darts of the wicked”. I pray that you will find blessings in our posts. To God be the glory in all! Thanks again for sharing.
