Always The Same??? A Word from THE WORD!!! #476
“Jesus Christ
the same yesterday,
and to day,
and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8
I have a few brief things to share with you today! Brief but ever so true, not only truth but our greatest hope and confidence. It’s all about Jesus!
“And when I saw him,
I fell at his feet as dead.
And he laid his right hand upon me,
saying unto me,
Fear not;
I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth,
and was dead;
and, behold,
I am alive for evermore,
Amen;
and have the keys
of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:17-18
“And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write;
These things saith the first and the last,
which was dead,
and is alive;” Revelation 2:8
“And, behold,
I come quickly;
and my reward is with me,
to give every man
according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end,
the first and the last.” Revelation 22:12-13
Jesus IS our hope and confidence; He gave His life for our salvation, and He will ever be with His own. Are you letting life get you down? Don’t let the enemy steal your hope, joy and confidence; Jesus IS our all in all.
“And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither
Greek nor Jew,
circumcision nor uncircumcision,
Barbarian, Scythian,
bond nor free:
but Christ is all, and in all.” Colossians 3:10-11
Jesus said it a little differently—a way that gives us the greatest of confidence, truth and joy; as well as strength and hope!
“The thief cometh not,
but for to steal,
and to kill,
and to destroy:
I am come
that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd giveth his life
for the sheep.” John 10:10-11
Jesus fulfilled the prophecy given to Joseph in regard to His purpose at Calvary! He came for you and me! He came not to show us the way—but to BE the way via His blood!!
“And she shall bring forth a son,
and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people
from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
I pray that these things will encourage you in your walk with The Lord Jesus! And I want to leave you with two of my favorite and most encouraging passages—I repeat them often; as they are closely related.
“Let your conversation be without covetousness;
and be content with such things as ye have:
for he hath said,
I will never leave thee,
nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say,
The Lord is my helper,
and I will not fear
what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5-6
And the Psalmists confirmation of our amazing God and His Word!
“What time I am afraid,
I will trust in thee.
4 In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear
what flesh can do unto me.” Psalm 56:3-4
Amen and Amen!!!
