Bible Ballistics: BBs #92 Where Have You Been???

I was quoting Psalm 23 yesterday and into the night—just had it on my mind and want to share a few thoughts about it with you. We’ve looked at it before, but its depths are too great to plumb in one look.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:

He leadeth me

in the paths of righteousness

for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil:

for thou art with me;

thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me

in the presence of mine enemies:

thou anointest my head with oil;

my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

all the days of my life:

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Simply put—

HE is my shepherd-the one who cares for me always!!

He provides for me!!

He protects me!!

He restores me when I fall or fail!!

              He leads me to be more like Him-righteous!!

Through Jesus!! (See 2 Cor. 5:21)

He is my constant companion through thick or thin!!

In Him

I can be fearless!!

I can be comforted—in all things!!

I can be victorious!!

       I can be overshadowed with HIS mercy

and goodness!!

I will spend eternity with HIM!!

So? Here’s our shot for today? Who is your shepherd? Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. He still saves and changes lives. He’s still working on His own—You and Me.!!! Praise be to God!! Let’s follow on to glory!!!
