Bible Ballistics: BBs #303 The Blessed Need Not Fear!!!

 

“Blessed is the man

that walketh not in the counsel

of the ungodly,

nor standeth in the way of sinners,

nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight

is in the law of the Lord; and

in his law doth he meditate

day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree

planted by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth his fruit

in his season;

his leaf also shall not wither;

and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so:

but are like the chaff

which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly

shall not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the congregation

of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth

the way of the righteous:

but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”    Psalm 1:1-6

Or as the Amplified Bible puts it:

       “6 For the Lord knows

and fully approves

the way of the righteous,

   But the way of the wicked shall perish.”

Just a brief word this morning—Our God Reigns. Regardless of what is going on around us, the blessed of the Lord are still “Blessed” because we know HIM, and we know the Lord Jesus Christ and are trusting in Him. The blessed of the Lord walk right before Him and we can know the way He wants us to go, and we should confidently walk there—wherever that may be!!! Whether it be the fire or the flood—God walks with His own, His Spirit dwelling within those who are His own. Examine yourself to see if you are His. He will reveal truth to those who seek Him.

“But ye are not in the flesh,

but in the Spirit,

if so be that the Spirit of God

dwell in you.

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ,

he is none of his.” Romans 8:9

And when we belong to God, born again of His Spirit, redeemed and forgiven of our sin, we can walk boldly forward despite the challenges or adversities before us.

“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for

I have redeemed thee,

I have called thee by thy name;

thou art mine.

2 When thou passest through the waters,

I will be with thee;

and through the rivers,

they shall not overflow thee:

when thou walkest through the fire,

thou shalt not be burned;

neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 For I am the Lord thy God,

the Holy One of Israel,

thy Saviour:” Isaiah 43:1-3

So take heart friends—we win, because Our God Reigns, we can also be confident because:

“….He hath said,

I will never leave thee,

nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say,

The Lord is my helper,

and I will not fear

what man shall do unto me.”    Hebrews 13:5b-6

Remember you don’t need to fear when you belong to Jesus, YOU are blessed! Walk like the blessed! Act like the blessed! Trust like the blessed! Let the world see the love of Jesus in your humble attitude of gratitude and confidence in HIM!!! Now “Have a blessed day”!!!
