Bible Ballistics: BBs #343 This IS The Day–Today???
“I will praise thee:
for thou hast heard me,
and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused
is become the head stone
of the corner.
23 This is the Lord’s doing;
it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:21-24
This is the day—today! Today is what we have to live. Tomorrow belongs to God alone, to reveal. Yesterday has passed, and belongs to me/you and God: mine to release to God in confidence, and God’s to use as He sees fit to conform me into the “image of His Son”!
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for
as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh intercession
with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts
knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession
for the saints
according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things
work together for good
to them that love God,
to them who are the called
according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow,
he also did predestinate
to be conformed
to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn
among many brethren.” Romans 8:26-29
God is at work on your behalf today!!! He is working “all” things for our good, to conform His own into the image of The Son, Jesus, for His glory. God wants to work in and be seen in and through our lives by a world in need of HIM.
But first of all, we must know Jesus; we must be “born again”—and only Jesus can grant the new birth; and He is ready, willing and able to save today. When we come to Him He doesn’t save us and leave us; but He saves us and continues to work in and through our lives that we may grow in grace, truth and wisdom, to be a reflection of His glory to the world. So as you go through your day today, be sure to be watching out for what God is doing around you and join HIM in His work. (See John 4:34) And if you don’t know HIM yet, call on Him today, for today is all we really have.
“But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin………15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” Hebrews 3:13 & 15
And remember today is all we have. What will you do with YOUR ‘today’? Trust Him with your day—Today!!!
“(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” 2 Corinthians 6:2
