Bible Ballistics: BBs #585 Tidbits From Paul On A Friday!!! (Early post for Friday due to technical issues!)
I simply want to share a word from the Apostle Paul; a concise word of encouragement that is one of my ‘go to’ passages of scripture. It speaks for itself, so let’s go!
“Rejoice in the Lord
alway:
and again I say,
Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation
be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing
by prayer
and supplication
with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known
unto God.
7 And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
9 Those things,
which ye have both learned,
and received,
and heard,
and seen in me,
do:
and the God of peace
shall be with you.” Philippians 4:4-9
May we ever:
Rejoice IN The Lord—always—
Live with moderation (before a world of excess)—
Not worry, but thankfully look to God in all things—
Trust to God’s peace to direct and comfort our steps—
(which the world doesn’t understand!)
Keep our minds focused on things that are:
True-
Honest-
Just-
Pure-
Lovely-
Reputable-
Virtuous-
Praise-worthy!
Ever-learning from those who have gone before, as well as those who are faithfully serving, obeying and setting the example of holy living before us now! Living lives that exhibit God’s character before a world that will often misunderstand, and/or ridicule us for our devotion and obedience to God!
I pray that this will encourage you today, and remind you that you are loved, prayed for, and needed by a world seeking ‘real’ followers of Jesus! May we ever be ‘real’ in all our ways; pointing others to “the only Savior”—Jesus!
“Neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name under heaven
given among men,
whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
